Delete your Bookie account.

You can delete your Bookie account and its data at any time, from the app or by email. Deleting is free, and you don’t need a subscription to do it.

30 days to change your mindYour account is erased for good 30 days later. Until then you can change your mind by signing in again and choosing Keep my account.

In the app

  1. Open Bookie and tap More.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Delete account.
  3. Read what will happen, then tap Delete my account.

If your plan has ended, or you never started one, the app opens the plan page instead: tap Delete account at the bottom of it.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from the email address you sign in to Bookie with, and ask us to delete your account. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the account’s address first, so nobody else can delete it. We start the deletion within 7 days of confirming and reply to tell you the date it will be erased.

Before you delete

  • Cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings. Deleting your Bookie account doesn’t stop the store from charging you.
  • Export your records (More, then Export) if you need them for your accounts or taxes. Nothing can be recovered after the 30 days.

What is deleted

When you ask, the businesses you own close straight away and everyone you invited loses access. After 30 days we permanently erase:

  • your sign-in, email address, name and phone number;
  • your devices and your place in any business you belong to;
  • every business you own, with all of its branches, team members, service cards, categories, entries, logos, edit history and closed days;
  • your subscription record in Bookie.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Entries you recorded in someone else’s business stay in that business’s books, with your name on them, because they are the owner’s records. Your login is still erased.
  • Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data can remain in them for up to 30 more days.
  • Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google, as their own policies and tax law require. When your account is erased we ask our subscription provider RevenueCat to delete its record of you.
  • Usage and crash data, if you agreed to share it, isn’t linked to your account, so it can’t be found and deleted with it. It expires on its own (up to 14 months for usage, 90 days for crash reports).
  • Emails you sent to support are kept as long as needed to answer you, as our Privacy Policy describes.
